A Message from My Good Friend (and Fellow HU Bison) Marie-Yolaine Eusebe...
December 2012
Bonjour!
During the holiday season, now more than ever, our thoughts turn gratefully to you, our donors and supporters, who have made our progress this year possible. On behalf of the Community2Community (C2C) team, volunteers and the people we serve in Petit Goâve, thank you!
Many of you have reached out to ask about our annual "Hope and A Future" Benefit Concert for Haïti, usually held in January to commemorate the anniversary of the 2010 Haïti earthquake. Well, we have wonderful news! Next year "Hope and A Future" moves to a new season, Spring. The 2013 concert will move to May with its new name: "Hope and A Future" A Celebration of Haïti. Stay tuned to inProgress for details. We will be using the first C2C Town Hall of 2013, scheduled for Thursday, January 10th at Brooklyn Borough Hall, to remember the earthquake and celebrate Haïti's moving forward. We invite you to join us... [scroll to the bottom for details].
As the year draws to a close, we continue our work with the community in Brooklyn, volunteering in the Hurricane Sandy clean up initiatives with Christian Cultural Center and in the communities we serve in Petit Goâve.

The world-wide water crisis and cholera, which has taken over 7,000 live in Haïti to date, do not take the holidays off. Most of the poor around the world or those living in poverty pay 12 times more for water than those with regular access. Some are forced to go to loan sharks who charge 125% interest to get access to water or to build a toilet in their homes. You can impact these statistics today in Petit Goâve by clicking HERE to help us to continue the construction on the sustainable water system initiative. For those of you who are interested in supporting C2C with in-kind donations we are in need of laptops. Please contact us at info@community2community.info or call 718.393.7740.
Much was accomplished this year but much still needs to be done. Thanks again for heeding the call to ... be a part of something greater than yourself! We couldn't have done it without you!
From our community to yours, Joyeux Nöel, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa to all!
Pou Ayiti Cherie,
Marie-Yolaine
